  • Purdue improved to 13-6 overall and 6-2 in the Big Ten Conference with a 79-67 win over Ohio State in Value City Arena … Purdue is now 3-13 all-time in Value City Arena, but has won consecutive games in the facility for the first time … Purdue’s 12-point margin of victory was its largest against the Buckeyes since Feb. 20, 2011, a 76-63 win over No. 2-ranked Ohio State in Mackey Arena … it was the largest margin of victory in Columbus since a 107-75 win on Feb. 7, 1998.
  • Purdue has won road games at Wisconsin and Ohio State for the first time since the 1995-96 season.
  • Purdue has now started 6-2 (or better) in Big Ten play for the third straight year and for the fifth time under Matt Painter … Purdue is 14-1 in January over the last two seasons.
  • Purdue’s 18 turnovers were its most since having 20 against Florida State on Nov. 28, 2018 … Purdue hadn’t had more than 10 turnovers in a game since that outing..
  • Ohio State started the second half by making 8 of its first 10 3-point attempts … it missed its last six attempts of the game.
  • Ohio State led 17-8 with 10:57 to play in the first half … Purdue then embarked on a 22-1 run over almost 6 minutes to take a 30-18 lead.
  • Purdue made 12 of 24 3-pointers, including 6 of 9 in the second half … after starting the game 0 of 4 from deep, Purdue made 12 of its last 20 from long distance … it marks the 25th time (a Big Ten best) that Purdue has made at least 12 3-pointers since the start of the 2016-17 season.
  • Purdue is now 91-9 since 2014-15 when attempting more free throws than its opponent … Purdue was 21 of 25 (.840) from the free throw line after entering the game shooting just 56.9 percent in Big Ten road games.
  • Carsen Edwards (73) and Ryan Cline (59) have combined for 132 3-pointers, the sixth most by a duo in school history.
  • Carsen Edwards scored 27 points, his 39th straight game of double-figure scoring … he now has 1,516 points, the fourth most for a player in his junior year or younger in school history … he has recorded 15, 20-point games this season … he tied a career high with five steals and added four rebounds and four assists … he moved into fifth place on Purdue’s career 3-pointers made list (219) … his 73 3-pointers are already the 12th most in a season in school history … Edwards now has 17 assists in his last three games.
  • Ryan Cline scored 13 points with two assists and a steal … he was 3 of 5 from long range and is now 19 of 36 (.528) from deep in his last five games.
  • Grady Eifert tied a career high with nine points and four assists, while adding six rebounds … his 3-pointer with just over a minute left, essentially iced the game away … Eifert is now 17 of 39 (.436) from long range this season.
