SOUTH BEND, Ind. –Taylor Brooks helped send his fellow seniors out on top this afternoon as he was dominant in a 93-87 victory over Judson University. Brooks finished with career-highs in both points and rebounds with 31 and 17 in his finale with the Titans.

Jeremy Jones gave the Titans their first lead of the contest when he drained back-to-back triples with less than four minutes to play in the opening half. The Eagles managed to go into the break clinging to a one-point lead.

Both teams went back-and-forth in the second half as neither the Titans nor Eagles led by more than four points.

Norell Smith hit a couple clutch three’s for the Titans with the first one coming at the 4:20 mark to put the Titans in front by five. Judson rattled of a 7-0 run to take the lead with 1:19 left in the game. Smith’s second clutch three came with 1:11 on the clock, giving the Titans the lead back.

With the score even at 77 Brooks put back his own miss to make it a two-point game with less than a minute remaining in regulation. Dylan Allen converted one-of-two free throws to put IU South Bend in front by three with 23 ticks left.

Judson’s Jacob Greeny drilled a triple from the wing to even the game at 80. With one last possession, Jones went to the rim and drew a foul with three-tenths left on the clock. Jones missed both attempts to send the game into overtime.

The overtime period was all IU South Bend as they held off the Eagles en route to a win in the season finale.

Jones wrapped up his IU South Bend career with 16 points.

Allen continued his impressive play, finishing with 18 points and six assists.

IU South Bend finishes the year with a 12-18 overall mark and a 4-16 mark in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference action.
