Plymouth – Tevin Taylor hit a 16-foot shot from just above the foul line as time expired, to lift Lansing Community College (15-12, 12-5 to a 79-77 win over Ancilla on Monday night in a Michigan Community College Athletic Association game at the LifePlex.
Ancilla had led by as many as 17 points and Lansing did not lead until the 10 minute mark of the second half.
Sophomores Jarron Tatum and Mike Green lead the Chargers (19-8, 12-5) with 19 points each. Ty’Sean Sheppard finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Ancilla closes out their regular season with a 7:30 p.m. game at Glen Oaks in Centerville, MI on Wednesday. The Chargers are currently tied for second with Lansing and the Stars own the tie breaker as they beat Ancilla in both games the two teams played. Most likely, Ancilla will host a first round regional tournament game on March 5. There is a slight chance they could still win the conference if Lansing and Grand Rapids lose on Wednesday.
