The Centier Bank Performers of the Week are John Glenn junior basketball player Aaron Wright and Munster junior swimmers Holden Raffin and Grant Afman.

In Friday’s semifinal contest of the TCU Bi-County Tournament at LaVille’s Dale E. Cox Gymnasium, the 5-foot-11 Wright tallied 12 points, including the game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer, to help the Falcons to a 39-36 triumph over Argos. Then, in Saturday’s championship game against the host and No. 6 (Class 2A) Lancers, he earned most valuable player accolades by netting 14 points in a 71-53 victory. Earlier in the week, he contributed four points for Glenn (9-6) in a 47-24 win over Triton.

In Saturday’s Northwest Crossroads Conference meet held at Munster, Raffin captured the 200 meter individual medley with a record time of 1:52.75 as well as the 100 backstroke with a time of 50.76. Afman also established new records in the 100 butterfly (50.37) and 500 freestyle (4:42.92). Both swimmers were also part of the victorious 200 medley relay (1:33.98) and 400 freestyle relay (3:13.50) teams for Munster, which won the meet with 424 points.

The Centier Bank Performer of the Week is open to any male-female student athlete who participates in any IHSAA sanctioned sport and whose school is in the Centier Bank geographic area.
