The Centier Bank Performers of the Week are Kouts junior basketball player Cole Wireman and Bremen junior basketball player Haylie Rodriguez.

The talented 5-foot-11 guard paved the way for the No. 3 (Class 1A) Mustangs (14-0) to capture the Porter County Conference tournament title by tallying 25 points in Saturday’s 49-46 win over Washington Township in the championship game at Hebron High School. Earlier in the day, Wireman had 39 points in an 81-68 semifinal round win over Morgan Township and added 36 points in Wednesday’s 83-47 decision over Boone Grove.

The 5-foot-2 guard helped the Lions (15-6) capture their second straight TCU Bi-County Tournament championship by netting a game-high nine points in Saturday’s 31-22 victory over Triton in the title game at LaVille’s Dale E. Cox Gymnasium,. Rodriguez also earned most valuable player honors by scoring 19 points in Thursday’s 42-16 win over Argos and eight points in Tuesday’s 38-19 decision over Culver Community.

The Centier Bank Performer of the Week is open to any male-female student athlete who participates in any IHSAA sanctioned sport and whose school is in the Centier Bank geographic area.
