The Centier Bank Performers of the Week are Bremen senior quarterback Ryan Caldwell and Michigan City Marquette senior basketball player Emma Nolan.
In Friday’s 34-33 loss at No. 5 Eastbrook in the Class 2A northern semistate final, the 6-foot, 150-pound Caldwell was 12-of-16 for 237 yards with two touchdowns and also ran for two scores as the Lions (11-3) came up just short on making it back to the state finals for the first time since 1995.
In Friday’s 81-52 victory over No. 4 Oregon-Davis, the 6-foot-2 Nolan tallied 25 points, nine rebounds, and three steals for the top-ranked and defending Class 1A state champion Blazers (4-1). Then in Saturday’s 55-17 victory over Andrean, the Saint John’s recruit netted 17 points to go over the 1,500-point mark for her career.
The Centier Bank Performer of the Week is open to any male-female student athlete who participates in any IHSAA sanctioned sport and whose school is in the Centier Bank geographic area.
