The Centier Bank Performers of the Week are Valparaiso junior running back Tommy Burbee and South Bend Saint Joseph senior basketball player Keegan Sullivan,
Burbee ran 25 times for 111 yards and the Vikings’ lone touchdown in Friday’s 10-7 victory over No. 5 Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger for the Class 5A northern semistate football championship at Viking Field. Burbee now has 1,653 yards on the ground for the season for No. 2 Valparaiso (13-0), which takes on top-ranked and defending state champion New Palestine (13-0) on November 29 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis for the state crown.
In Friday’s 49-32 win over South Bend Adams, the 5-foot-11 Sullivan tallied 20 points, including six 3-point baskets. She also added 12 points in a 59-34 win over Elkhart Memorial on November 19 for the Indians (3-1).
The Centier Bank Performer of the Week is open to any male-female student athlete who participates in any IHSAA sanctioned sport and whose school is in the Centier Bank geographic area.
