The Centier Bank Performer of the Week is Gary West Side basketball player Dash Shaw. In Wednesday’s 43-40 win over Hammond Bishop Noll, the 5-foot-7 sophomore Shaw scored 27 points, including all but one of the Cougars’ field goals in the second half. She finished with nine field goals, two of which came from 3-point range and 7-of-10 from the free throw line to help West Side improve their record to 6-2. Shaw also chipped in 12 points, three assists, and two steals in Tuesday’s 46-41 win over Andrean. For the season, she is averaging 22 points per game, 3.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and is shooting 77 percent at the charity stripe on 24-of-43 attempts.
The Center Bank Performer of the Week is open to any male-female student athlete who participates in any IHSAA sanctioned sport and whose school is in the Centier Bank geographic area.
