The Centier Bank Performers of the Week are Crown Point freshman basketball player Jessica Carrothers and Mishawaka Marian junior basketball player Jaden Ivey.
In Friday’s 78-48 victory over Indianapolis Cathedral, the 5-foot-7 standout tallied 34 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and five steals to help the No, 7 (Class 4A) Bulldogs (16-0) to the Twin Lakes tournament title. In Friday’s 54-31 win over Mount Vernon (Fortville) in the semifinals, Carrothers had 18 points, five rebounds, three assists, and five steals. She also added 21 points, two rebounds, four assists, and five steals in Friday’s 67-21 decision over North White.
On Thursday, the 6-foot-3 Ivey led the top-ranked (Class 3A) Knights (8-0) to the Thomas Moorman Memorial Tournament championship by coming up with 35 points, three rebounds, two assists, and three steals in a 58-32 win over Norwell. In a 74-35 triumph over Concord in the semifinals, Ivey registered 31 points, four assists, and three steals.
The Centier Bank Performer of the Week is open to any male-female student athlete who participates in any IHSAA sanctioned sport and whose school is in the Centier Bank geographic area.
