The Centier Bank Performers of the Week are Michigan City’s junior guard Jaivion Reid and South Bend Riley senior forward Damezi Anderson. In Tuesday’s thrilling come-from-behind 70-68 victory over No. 5 (Class 2A) Andrean at the Wolves’ Den, Reid nailed the game-winning 3-point shot with only 2.7 seconds remaining. In the contest, Reid scored 27 points on 7-of-14 shots, including 2-of-4 from three-point range, and was also was credited with three rebounds, eight assists, and two steals.  In Friday’s 87-36 loss at LaLumiere, he finished with 10 points for the Wolves (2-2).

In Tuesday’s 84-55 win at South Bend Saint Joseph, the 6-foot-7 Indiana University recruit tallied 25 points to become the school’s all-time leading scorer, surpassing Reontre Lawrence, who had the previous mark of 1,507 points. Anderson chipped in 19 points in Thursday’s 62-48 win over Mishawaka and then added 23 points in Saturday’s 81-75 victory against Pickerington North (Ohio) in the Southport Shootout to help the No. 3 (Class 4A) Wildcats improve to 6-0 and 2-0 in the Northern Indiana Conference. He now has 1,584 career points.

The Centier Bank Performer of the Week is open to any male-female student athlete who participates in any IHSAA sanctioned sport and whose school is in the Centier Bank geographic area.
