The Centier Bank Performers of the Week are Kankakee Valley sophomore outfielder Kaylee Barrett and Penn freshman pitcher Ryan Lynch.

In Tuesday’s 18-6 victory over Boone Grove, Barrett had a career game, finishing with four hits and seven RBIs. She started her day with a triple in the first inning, added a home run and double in the sixth inning, and then capped off her day with a second home run in the seventh inning. In Thursday’s 11-1 win over Griffith, Barrett had a double and two runs scored and then went 2-for-4 with two more home runs, four RBIs, and three runs scored in Saturday’s 23-2 five-inning victory over Hobart as the Kougars improved to 7-3 overall and 4-2 in the Northwest Crossroads Conference.

In Monday’s 11-0 blanking of Bremen, the left-hander Lynch tossed a six-inning no-hitter in which he fanned 10 batters and walked two to earn his second win of the season. Then in Saturday’s 9-4 triumph over Lake Central, Lynch had three hits, including a pair of home runs, and three RBIs to help the Kingsmen move to 7-4 overall and 4-0 in the Northern Indiana Conference.

The Centier Bank Performer of the Week is open to any male-female student athlete who participates in any IHSAA sanctioned sport and whose school is in the Centier Bank geographic area.
