The Centier Bank Performers of the Week are Chesterton senior track performer Brianna Molnar and Highland freshman track performer Lucas Guerra.
At Tuesday’s Chesterton sectional, Molnar won the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.65. She captured the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.40 and also ran a leg in the winning 400-meter relay with a time of 50.106 to lead the Trojans to their first sectional championship since 2014 with 152 points.
At Thursday’s East Chicago sectional, Guerra won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:03.74 and the 1600-meter run with time of 4:30.1. He also ran a leg on the winning 3,200-meter relay team with a time of 8:34.1 as the Trojans won seven events overall to repeat as sectional champions with 162 points.
The Centier Bank Performer of the Week is open to any male-female student athlete who participates in any IHSAA sanctioned sport and whose school is in the Centier Bank geographic area.
