The Centier Bank Performers of the Week are Boone Grove sophomore Brae’ton Vann and South Bend Adams senior Joselyn Mwenifumbo.
In Saturday’s Porter County Conference track meet, Vann helped the Wolves easily win the team title with 191 points by capturing the 100-meter run with a time of 11.34, the 200-meter run in a time of 22.99, and ran a leg on the winning 400-meter relay team (44.57) and 1,600-meter relay team (3:35.43).
In Thursday’s South Bend city track meet held at Saint Joseph High School, Mwenifumbo helped the Eagles to the team title with 160.5 points by winning the 110 high hurdles with a time of 15.21, the 300 hurdles with a time of 46.33, and second place finishes in the high jump (5-0) and long jump (16-11.5). Then in Saturday’s Goshen Relays, she helped Adams to a third place finish with 70 points by being part of the first place 800 meter sprint relay team (1:54.09), second place 4×100 relay team (50.77), second place 4×200 relay team (1:47.97), and a third place finish in the high jump relay (5-0).
The Centier Bank Performer of the Week is open to any male-female student athlete who participates in any IHSAA sanction sport and whose school is in the Centier Bank geographic area.
