CENTIER BANK PERFORMER OF THE WEEK – 5-7-17

The Centier Bank Performer of the Week is the Boone Grove boys’ track and field team.  In Saturday’s Porter County Conference track meet held at Kouts High School, the Wolves captured their first team meet title since 1984, ending a 34-year drought. The Wolves were helped by Cameron Jones, who won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:08.17 and a first-place finish by the 400 relay team of Corey Reifon, Brandon Vann, Bobby Johnson, and Taylor Piazza with a time of 45.95.  Ethan Smith also won the discus with a throw of 135.7, besting teammate Luke Wilkening’s toss of 115-0.  In all, the Wolves had 14 individuals finish among the top six places.

The Centier Bank Performer of the Week is open to any male-female student athlete who participates in any IHSAA sanctioned event and whose school is in the Centier Bank geographic area.
