The Centier Bank Performers of the Week are Hanover Central senior soccer player Westin Baker, Andrean senior quarterback Zack Merrill, and Elkhart Memorial junior running back Ivan Soeun.
In Tuesday’s 7-1 win over Washington Township, Baker tallied four goals and an assist and then added four goals and four assists in the Wildcats’ 10-1 rout of Westville on Thursday.
In Friday’s 44-28 upset of Class 4A No. 3 New Prairie, the 6-foot-1, 190-pound Merrill completed 22-of-30 passes for 330 yards and five touchdowns for the 59ers (2-1).
Before leaving with an arm injury Friday night, the 5-foot-5, 135-pound Soeun had 26 carries for 188 yards and scoring runs of one, 11, and nine yards as the Chargers (1-2) snapped an 18-game Northern Lakes Conference losing streak with a 49-24 win over Goshen.
The Centier Bank Performer of the Week is open to any male-female student athlete who participates in any IHSAA sanctioned sport and whose school is in the Centier Bank geographic area.
