The Centier Bank Performers of the Week are Plymouth junior running back Seth Rundell and Andrean senior quarterback Zack Merrill.
In addition to catching 10 passes for 187 yards and two touchdowns Friday, the 5-foot-9, 145-pound Rundell also ran three times for 40 yards, including a 10-yard touchdown and the game-winning two-point conversion run in overtime to help the Rockies (3-2) to a 29-28 win over Elkhart Memorial.
In Friday’s 41-7 victory over previously unbeaten Hobart in the Northwest Crossroads Conference opener, the 6-foot-1, 195-pound Merrill did it all by rushing 13 times for 100 yards with three touchdowns and also completed 9-of-11 passes for 179 yards and three more scores for the 59ers (4-1).
The Centier Bank Performer of the Week is open to any male-female student athlete who participates in any IHSAA sanctioned sport and whose school is in the Centier Bank geographic area.
