The Centier Bank Performers of the Week are Chesterton junior gymnast Mia Pak and South Central sophomore gymnast Makenna King.
During Saturday’s 48th annual IHSAA state gymnastics finals held at Ball State’s Worthen Arena in Muncie, Pak helped the Trojans to their third straight title with 112.250 points by winning the unparallel bars competition for the second year in a row with a score of 9.60. She also placed third in the vault (9.750), sixth in the floor exercise (9.475), and third in the all-around (38.025) competitions for the Trojans.
On her way to a second-place finish in the all-around competition with a score of 38.150, King placed second in the unparallel (9.55), fifth in both the vault (9.675) and floor exercise (9.50), and seventh in the balance beam (9.425) competitions to become the Satellites’ most decorated female athlete.
The Centier Bank Performer of the Week is open to any male-female student athlete who participates in any IHSAA sanctioned sport whose school is in the Centier Bank geographic area.
