COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF SELECTION COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES FINAL TOP 25 RANKINGS

 

The Rose Bowl Game presented by Northwestern Mutual and Allstate Sugar Bowl will host the Playoff Semifinals

 

GRAPEVINE, Texas – The College Football Playoff (CFP) Selection Committee announced today its final top 25 rankings for 2017, along with match-ups for the Playoff Semifinals and New Year’s bowls.

 

On Monday, January 1, 2018, No. 3 Georgia will face No. 2 Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl Game presented by Northwestern Mutual at 5 p.m. ET. The Allstate Sugar Bowl will follow at 8:45 p.m. ET as No. 4 Alabama plays No. 1 Clemson.

 

The winners of the Playoff Semifinals will advance to the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship. The national championship game will take place on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.

 

The College Football Playoff also announced the New Year’s bowl match-ups.

 

Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic (Dec. 29) – No. 8 Southern California vs. No. 5 Ohio State

PlayStation Fiesta Bowl (Dec. 30) – No. 11 Washington vs. No. 9 Penn State

Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl (Jan. 1) – No. 12 UCF vs. No. 7 Auburn

 

The Capital One Orange Bowl (Dec. 30) also announced its matchup – No. 10 Miami vs. No. 6 Wisconsin.
