Crossroads League Announces Athletes of the Week

AVON, Ohio – The Crossroads League announced its athletes of the week on Monday, recognizing the top performers from the week of November 13 through 19. In order to be considered for the award, a student-athlete must be nominated by their institution’s Sports Information Director.
Men’s Basketball Player of the Week
Wes Stowers, Marian
Stowers turned in a pair of 20-point games in Marian’s blowout victories over Simmons and East West, averaging 23.5 points and shooting 60.9 percent from the field and 93.3 percent from the free throw line. Stowers added 4.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game to supplement the scoring workload.
Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
Kendall Bradbury, Taylor
The leading scorer and rebounder in NAIA Division II, Kendall Bradbury, erupted for 26.3 points, 13.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game, while shooting 50.9 percent from the floor over RV Taylor’s three contests. Bradbury posted two double-doubles and flirted with a triple-double in TU’s 78-70 upset of NAIA Division I No. 5 Shawnee State with 22 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists.
