Crossroads League Announces Athletes of the Week | January 29-February 4

 JACKSON, Mich. – The Crossroads League Athletes of the Week were announced on Monday, recognizing the league’s top individual performances from January 29 through February 4. Sports Information Directors from the league institutions nominate student-athletes for the awards and vote on each week’s winners.

Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
Lilli Frasure, Indiana Wesleyan
Frasure led No. 4 Indiana Wesleyan in a pair of wins by averaging 20.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 5.0 steals per game. Frasure also shot 64.3 percent from the floor.

 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week
Gus Etchison, Marian
Etchison set Marian records with 33 points and eight made three’s in a half during a 43-point outburst in a win over Spring Arbor. Etchison ended the week with 29.0 points per game on 50.0-percent shooting in a pair of victories for the Knights.

Women’s Indoor TF Track Athlete of the Week
Kylie Sauder, Grace
Sauder turned in A-standard performances for Grace in the distance-medley relay and mile, while finishing top-three in those two events, as well as the 800.

Women’s Indoor TF Field Athlete of the Week
Arriana Benjamin, Marian
Benjamin repeated her honor with A-standard marks in the shot put and weight throw for Marian at the IWU Midwest Classic. Benjamin’s weight throw of 18.63 won the event and was the best distance in the NAIA this season.

Men’s Indoor TF Track Athlete of the Week
Eli Fullerton, Indiana Wesleyan
Fullerton picked up a win over 80 athletes in the mile on his home track at the IWU Midwest Classic. The junior crossed in 4:14.90 to automatically qualify for NAIA Nationals.

Men’s Indoor TF Field Athlete of the Week
Isaiah Tipping, Marian
Tipping extended his Marian record and NAIA-leading weight throw mark out to 20.89 meters with his first-place showing at the IWU Midwest Classic.

Women’s Bowler of the Week
Emily Pepper, Spring Arbor
Pepper helped Spring Arbor to a team title at the Alma Classic by posting the top individual score at the event. Pepper’s 812 topped the field of over 60 bowlers and yielded a four-game average of 203.

 Men’s Bowler of the Week
Chris Mace, Indiana Wesleyan
Mace led Indiana Wesleyan at the Alma Classic by bowling a 799 over four games to take second place in the individual standings.
