AVON, Ohio – The Crossroads League Athletes of the Week were announced on Monday, recognizing the top athletes from November 18 through 24. Sports Information Directors from the league nominate student-athletes for the award and vote on each week’s winners.
Men’s Basketball Player of the Week
TreVion Crews, Bethel
Crews went for 42 points in a 93-86 win over Cardinal Stritch for RV Bethel, adding five assists, five rebounds, two steals and one block in the dominant showing. The junior guard shot five-of-10 from deep and 13-of-13 from the charity stripe for the unbeaten Pilots.
Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
Taylor Gregory, Mount Vernon Nazarene
Gregory joined the 1,000-point club with an 18-point, 15-rebound, five-block showing in MVNU’s 99-91 win over Rio Grande. The performance was Gregory’s seventh double-double in nine games to open the year.
