Crossroads League Announces Men’s Golf Award Winners

INDIANAPOLIS – The Crossroads League announced its 2017 Men’s Golf All-League honors on Wednesday, one day after Taylor clinched its second-straight CL Championship to secure the league’s automatic team bid to the NAIA National Championships.

The No. 15 Trojans placed all five individuals inside the top-10 on the individual leaderboard, with Alec Dutkowski and Trey Turner tying Indiana Wesleyan’s Jake Coffey for medalist honors. Dutkowski and Turner were joined by teammates Mitch Lamping and Nick Waskom on the 11-man All-Crossroads League Team, with Dutkowski earning Crossroads League Player-of-the-Year honors and TU head coach, Cameron Andry, hauling in a second-straight Crossroads League Coach-of-the-Year award.

Coffey was crowned the Crossroads League Individual Champion after TU’s Dutkowski and Turner conceded the pending three-man playoff, securing the CL’s automatic individual bid to NAIA Nationals for the IWU senior.

Dutkowski, Turner, Lamping, Waskom and Coffey were joined on the All-Crossroads League Team by Marian’s Cory Cahalan, Dylan Gessinger and Travis Sterrett, with Cale Carr of Huntington, Patrick Hardy of IWU and Chase Ellsworth of Saint Francis rounding out the list.
