Crossroads League Announces Winter and Spring All-Academic Honors

 

INDIANAPOLIS – The Crossroads League released its 2017 Academic All-Crossroads League award winners from the spring semester on Thursday, recognizing 269 student-athletes from the sports of basketball, track and field, tennis, golf, baseball and softball.

 

In order to be eligible for Academic All-Crossroads League recognition, a student-athlete must have reached junior status academically, possess a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale and have been submitted for nomination by their institution.

 

Spring Arbor led all 10 Crossroads League institutions with 45 Academic All-Crossroads League recipients from the spring semester, followed by 38 honors from Taylor, 37 from Indiana Wesleyan and 36 from Bethel.

 

A total of 473 student-athletes earned Academic All-Crossroads League recognition throughout the 2016-2017 year from the league’s 15 sports. Spring Arbor led the league with 76 honors, with Taylor’s 67 awards and Indiana Wesleyan’s 57 honors rounding out the top-three.
