Crossroads League Honors Mangas and Bradbury for Top Weekly Honors

AVON, Ohio – The Crossroads League announced its athletes of the week on Monday, recognizing the top performers from the week of January 8-14. In order to be considered for the award, a student-athlete must be nominated by their institution’s Sports Information Director.
Men’s Basketball Player of the Week
Kyle Mangas, Indiana Wesleyan
Mangas scored a career-high 40 points, including 33 after halftime in No. 7 Indiana Wesleyan’s, 89-82, overtime win against No. 2 Saint Francis and added 25 points in a 90-81 win over cross-county rival, Taylor. The freshman guard shot 56.9 percent from the field and 94.7 percent from the free throw line, while netting 32.5 points and 5.5 boards per victory.
Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
Kendall Bradbury, Taylor
Bradbury led No. 22 Taylor to wins over No. 13 Indiana Wesleyan and Goshen with 23.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per contest. The junior forward shot 53.3 percent from the field, 46.2 percent from deep and 88.9 percent from the charity stripe, while extending a stretch of scoring at least 20 points to 18-straight games.
