Crossroads League in the NAIA National Polls | April 23-29

 

KANSAS CITY – The NAIA released a new Top-25 Poll this week for the sports of softball and tennis. The Crossroads League placed seven teams in the poll and currently boasts a total of 32 teams ranked or receiving votes.

 

SOFTBALL (Announced on April 24 – Next Poll on May 8)
No. 2 Marian (39-3, 28-2 CL) did not change positions in the new rankings, staying in the second spot with 504 points. MU can secure a fourth-straight Crossroads League Championship with one win in its final six regular season outings.

 

No. 10 Indiana Wesleyan (45-8, 26-6 CL) inched up one position in the poll, cracking the Top-10 with 386 points. IWU will close the regular season at Bethel and against Spring Arbor this weekend.

 

WOMEN’S TENNIS (Announced on April 24 – Next Poll on May 1)
No. 10 Indiana Wesleyan (29-4, 9-0 CL) slipped one position but remained in the Top-10 with 257 points. The Wildcats have gone 15-4 this spring while tuning up for the NAIA National Tournament.

 

No. 25 Marian (17-4, 8-1 CL) held its spot in the Top-25 with 75 points. MU posted an 8-2 mark during the spring season with the hopes of an at-large bid to Nationals.

 

RV Huntington (14-4, 7-2 CL) continued to receive votes, grabbing six points in the new poll. The Foresters only played in one spring match, falling to No. 10 IWU on April 20.

 

MEN’S TENNIS (Announced on April 24 – Next Poll on May 1)
No. 22 Indiana Wesleyan (27-8, 9-0 CL) held steady in the poll, earning 105 points. IWU went 12-8 throughout its spring campaign to gear up for the NAIA National Tournament.

 

RV Marian (14-10, 7-2 CL) continued to receive votes, earning three points in the latest ratings. The Knights posted a 4-7 mark during the spring season.
