Crossroads League in the NAIA National Polls | October 30-November 5

 

KANSAS CITY – The NAIA released a new batch of Top-25 Polls this week for the sports of soccer and volleyball. The Crossroads League placed six teams in those polls and currently boasts a total of 25 teams ranked or receiving votes.

 

WOMEN’S SOCCER (Next Poll on November 7)
No. 3 Spring Arbor (17-1-1, 8-0-1 CL) moved back one spot in the new poll, after tying No. 14 Marian for its second outing without a victory this season. The Cougars earned 475 points in the poll and topped Bethel in the CL Tournament Quarterfinals Wednesday evening.

 

No. 14 Marian (14-2-3, 6-0-3 CL) inched up one spot, after battling No. 3 SAU to a 1-1 draw to finish CL play without a loss. The Knights claimed 286 points in the poll and advanced to the CL Tourney Semifinals with a 1-0 win over Grace in the opening round.

 

RV Indiana Wesleyan (12-3-3, 5-2-2 CL) earned 58 points in the rankings to remain in the receiving votes portion of the poll. IWU suffered a 2-0 defeat to Taylor in the CL Quarterfinals after finishing third in the regular season standings.

 

MEN’S SOCCER (Next Poll on November 7)
No. 21 Spring Arbor (16-3, 8-1 CL) held steady in the poll and increased 13 points to 181 overall. SAU carries a five-match win streak into a CL Tournament Semifinal clash with Huntington, after downing Taylor in the first round.

 

VOLLEYBALL (Next Poll on November 13)
RV Marian (26-4, 16-2 CL) slipped out of the Top-25 in the new poll, earning the 26th-highest point total in the nation with 104. MU claimed the league’s regular season championship and will open CL Tournament action at home against MVNU on Saturday.

 

RV Indiana Wesleyan (24-10, 15-3 CL) came in four spots below the Knights with 30 points, after closing the regular season in second place. IWU will host Bethel in the opening round of the CL Tournament on Saturday morning.
