Crossroads League Places Two Inside Top-10 in Softball Postseason Poll

KANSAS CITY – After sending three teams to the NAIA Softball Opening Round and advancing two into the World Series, the Crossroads League had a strong showing in the Postseason Top-25 Poll, with No. 7 Marian, No. 10 Indiana Wesleyan and RV Taylor representing the league.

No. 7 Marian closed its 2017 campaign at 47-6 overall after making a second-straight appearance at the NAIA Softball World Series. The Knights rolled through the Opening Round with a run differential of 16-2 over three victories but suffered a pair of 6-3 losses in the World Series to end the season.

No. 10 Indiana Wesleyan ended at 44-15 after marching to the World Series. The Wildcats swept through the Opening Round with two wins against then-No. 9 Saint Francis (IL) and one against then-No. 11 Campbellsville, before dropping a pair of one-run decisions in the World Series.

RV Taylor finished with a mark of 39-18 and secured a win over then-No. 6 Lindsey Wilson in an elimination contest of the Opening Round.

The NAIA Top-25 Poll is voted on by a panel of head coaches from around the nation.
