Crossroads League Sends Three to NAIA Softball Nationals
 KANSAS CITY – No. 4 Marian, RV Taylor and RV Indiana Wesleyan will represent the Crossroads League in the 2017 NAIA Softball National Championship Opening Round on May 15-17, as the league claimed three of the 40 spots in the upcoming tournament.
No. 4 Marian (44-4) earned 476 points in the final poll and secured its spot in the Opening Round by winning the Crossroads League Championship for the regular season and tournament. The Knights claimed the top seed in the Costa Mesa Bracket and will kick things off against fourth-seeded and unranked Avila on Monday at 6:00 pm ET.
RV Taylor (38-16) earned 58 points in the final poll for the 27th-highest total and claimed one of the nine available at-large bids after taking second in the Crossroads League regular season. The Trojans are the third-seeded team at the Columbia Bracket and will begin play against second-seeded and No. 14 Corban on Monday at 2:00 pm ET.
RV Indiana Wesleyan (41-13) garnered 12 points in the final poll for the 34th-best total in the country after finishing runner-up in the CL Tournament to claim the league’s second automatic bid to nationals. The Wildcats are the fourth-seed in the Bowling Green Bracket and will open against top-seeded and No. 9 Saint Francis (IL) on Monday at 3:30 pm ET.
Each of the four-team brackets will play out a double-elimination tournament, with the 10 bracket winners advancing to compete in the NAIA Softball World Series in Clermont, Florida from May 26 through June 1.
