INDIANAPOLIS – The 2016-2017 year yielded more excellence from the institutions and student-athletes within the Crossroads League, both in the classroom and between the lines of competition.

The Crossroads League had 473 student-athletes earn NAIA Scholar-Athlete distinction for posting grade-point averages of 3.5 or higher during their junior and senior years. In addition, 136 teams from around the Crossroads League were tagged as NAIA Scholar-Teams for posting collective team GPA’s of 3.0 or better during the 2016-2017 year.

The success carried well past the classrooms however, as the Crossroads League claimed five NAIA National Championships and touted 117 NAIA All-American awards throughout 2016-2017.

The combination of academic and athletic success made Crossroads League student-athletes a popular choice for the prestigious College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America honors, and CL student-athletes piled up 42 of those awards as well.

The Crossroads League consists of 10 private institutions from Indiana, Michigan and Ohio and competes in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Those institutions are Bethel College, Goshen College, Grace College, Huntington University, Indiana Wesleyan University, Marian University, Mount Vernon Nazarene University, University of Saint Francis, Spring Arbor University and Taylor University.
