De La Cruz Named Conference Player of the Week

LAKELAND, Fla.—Southeastern University senior shortstop Adam De La Cruz was named The Sun Conference Baseball Player of the Week for his efforts in helping the Fire win The Sun Conference regular season championship for the first time.
De La Cruz had a torrid week at the plate, hitting .500 and slugging at a .778 clip. He recorded an RBI in every contest for SEU (eight total). De La Cruz notched five doubles and was a perfect 2-2 on stolen bases.
The Fire take on Thomas on Thursday in the first round of The Sun Conference Tournament.
