COLUMBIA, Ky. — Southeastern University junior football player Blade Denmark was named the Mid-South Conference Sun Division Defensive Player of the Week for his work in helping the Fire defeat Warner 55-14.
On Saturday, Denmark posted seven tackles, including three for loss and had a sack. As a team, the Fire defense held Warner to just 207 yards of total offense, and an average of 3.3 yards per play.
The Winter Haven native has 24 total tackles this season with five for loss and 2.5 sacks.
The Fire return to action on Saturday in Montgomery, Ala. against Faulkner University.
