Denver is the 2024 DI Men’s Ice Hockey National Champions for the 10th time in program history after defeating Boston College, 2-0! Making the Pioneers the first NCAA team to reach  Men’s Ice Hockey National Championships.

The Pioneers win the 10th national title in program history behind a 35-save shutout from goalie Matt Davis.

Two quick second period goals was all the offense Davis and the Pioneers needed, as he made impressive save after impressive save to keep the talent-laden Boston College offense quiet.

Jared Wright scored the first goal of the game around the midway point of the second period, then Rieger Lorenz followed with a brilliant goal of his own just 5:34 seconds later.

The highlight of the game came on a brilliant save by Davis to rob BC’s Ryan Leonard of a seemingly wide-open net.
