Drake tabbed for NCCAA All-Tournament Team

WINONA LAKE, Ind. – Vironnica Drake of Grace’s women’s basketball team was recognized to the five-player NCCAA All-Tournament Team.
Drake produced 14.0 points and 5.7 rebounds per game during last week’s NCCAA Tournament, leading the team in both categories. She shot 50 percent from the floor, 67 percent from the 3-point line (6-of-9) and 83 percent (10-of-12) on free throws.

On the hardwood, Drake joined Brooke Sugg on the NCCAA All-Region Team. Sugg was a Second Team selection, and Drake was honorable mention. Head coach Scott Blum was also named the region’s Coach of the Year.

Additionally, Sugg and Pam Miller were rewarded for their work in the classroom. Both players were named to the NCCAA Scholar-Athlete list, while Sugg was also a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete.
