KANSAS CITY, Mo.—The Southeastern University football team will be represented by three players at the first NAIA Senior Football Classic in December.
Offensive lineman Mike Davis, tight end Adam Toombs, and wide receiver Antwain Adams are among the group of 116 seniors from around the country representing 42 institutions that will participate.
The group of players are divided into an East Team and a West Team, with all three SEU players representing the East.
Adams was a First-Team All-Mid-South Sun Division selection, making 57 catches for 750 yards and scoring seven touchdowns. The Pensacola native averaged 5.7 receptions per game, which ranked 20th in the NAIA, and his total receptions were 29th nationally.
Davis and Toombs were both Second-Team All-Mid-South Sun Division honorees, helping the Fire offense rank in the top 25 nationally in first downs per game, rushing offense, and scoring offense.
Toombs, a native of Miami, added seven catches for 74 yards.
Davis, a Bradenton native, started all 10 games at left tackle last season and was a Second-Team All-American at Highland Community College before coming to SEU.
The game will be played December 14, 2019 in Savannah, Ga. the week before the NAIA Football Championship Series final.
