Positively Promoting the Student Athlete Since 1992

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.—The Southeastern University football team was picked to finish first in the Mid-South Sun Division, voted on by the league’s seven head coaches.
The results of the annual poll were released Friday afternoon.
Southeastern has won four consecutive conference titles, and received six first-place votes with coaches unable to vote for their own team.
The Fire return 22 total starters between offense, defense, and special teams. The offense welcomes the return of the Sun Division Offensive Freshman of the Year Bryan Bell, as well as first team all-conference wide receiver Antwain Adams. SEU finished second in the entire 21-team Mid-South Conference in total defense at 268.8 yards per game, and return eight starters, led by first-team all-conference safety Cory Rahman.
Defending co-champion Ave Maria finished second with Keiser three points behind in third. Faulkner, Webber International, Warner, and first-year St. Thomas completed the poll.
Southeastern begins its 2019 season at home on September 7 against Campbellsville University.
