LAKELAND, Fla.—Southeastern University women’s golf coach Steve Phelps announced the signing of Gianna Piscitelli to a letter of intent to join the team in the fall.

Piscitelli comes to SEU from Eastern Florida State

“As soon as I stepped on the campus, I knew,” said Piscitelli. “Coming from Eastern Florida I really liked the small community, walking down the halls and seeing people you know and saying hi to teachers and at Southeastern it is exactly like that. The religious aspect fit me, the coach is amazing, the girls on the team were amazing and it just felt like home.”

Piscitelli helped EFSC finish sixth in the Golfstat NJCAA rankings. She finshed 15th at the Region VII Tournament at Rockledge Country Club.

“We are grateful to bring aboard Gianna to our SEU women’s golf program,” said Phelps. “She brings great energy and good tournament experience. We are excited to see what her future holds here both on and off the golf course.”

The Fire are coming off of a 13th place finish at the NAIA National Championship, which was their third consecutive appearance.
