KANSAS CITY, Mo.—The Southeastern University women’s golf team is heading to the NAIA Women’s Golf National Championship for the third consecutive season.
The Fire were one of 11 at-large berths in the 30-team and 156-player field that will compete in the 25th annual event May 14-17 at Lincoln Park Golf Course in Oklahoma City.
Southeastern will begin play at 7:34 a.m. a week from Tuesday on Hole 10, and are grouped with No. 4 Dalton State and No. 14 Oregon Tech. On Wednesday, the Fire will go off of Hole 1 at 12:30 p.m. with the same teams.
The Fire jumped up six spots to No. 9 in the final regular season coaches’ poll, and are one of five Sun Conference teams competing at the national championship.
The field will be cut to the top 17 teams and 40 individuals including ties after 36 holes.
