KANSAS CITY, Mo.—In the second installment of the NAIA Women’s Golf Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, Southeastern made a big jump.

The Fire received their highest in-season ranking in program history, checking in at 10th in the poll voted on by a panel of coaches, representing each conference and the independent institutions.

Southeastern was 16th in the preseason poll, and this ranking is the second-highest in team history behind the postseason ranking in 2017 of eighth.

The Fire were fourth at the Keiser Kup by Golfino, held at PGA National, scoring 306 and 307 in the final two rounds.

Southeastern is one of four Sun Conference teams in the Top 25, joining No. 1 Keiser, No. 2 and defending champion SCAD Savannah, and No. 6 USC Beaufort.

Saturday, the Fire begin play in the Webber Fall Classic at Lake Wales Country Club.
