DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.—The 13th ranked Southeastern women’s golf team placed second in a field of mostly Division II teams at the Bash at the Beach at LPGA International.
The Fire were 12 strokes behind Embry-Riddle for team honors with SEU posting team scores of 314 and 310.
Individually, sophomore Ashlynn Joyner led the way with scores of 78 and 76 to place sixth overall. Valentina Espinosa was a shot back, shooting 77 in the second round. Ana Uribe placed 12th with a total of 157 (80-77), and Brooke Wetzel rounded out the scoring with rounds of 79 and 80 to place 14th.
Lindsey Gonzalez placed 22nd with rounds of 81 and 83.
The Fire will take the Palmer Course at PGA National on April 14 to begin play at The Sun Conference Championship.
