Fire Women’s Soccer to Host Truett McConnell in NAIA Opening Round

KANSAS CITY, Mo.-The NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship Opening Round pairings have been announced. For the second consecutive season, the No. 1 ranked Southeastern University women’s soccer team will host an Opening Round at the SEU Soccer Complex. The No. 6 nationally-seeded Fire welcome the Truett McConnell University Bears from the Appalachian Athletic Conference to Lakeland this Saturday with match time to be determined.

The Fire received an at-large bid with a 17-1-2 record and after finishing as Sun Conference Regular Season Co-Champions, as well as TSC Tournament Runners-Up.

The Bears enter the Opening Round with a 16-2 record, clinching a national postseason berth after winning the AAC Regular Season Championship.
