Fire Wrestling Second in MSC South Preseason Poll

COLUMBIA, Ky.—Southeastern finished second in the Mid-South Conference South Division Preseason Coaches’ Poll, released this afternoon by the conference office.

The Fire finished one point behind Life for the top spot, receiving two first-place votes.

Southeastern placed fifth at last season’s Mid-South Championships and placed 19th at nationals. The Fire return six national qualifiers to the wrestling room, which includes All-Americans Ethan Owen, Dylan Chatterton, Olson Delisca, and Angel del Cueto.

Cumberland (Tenn.) finished third, followed by Brewton-Parker and first-year Keiser.

The Mid-South Championships will take place February 21 and 22 in Bowling Green, Ky. at Ephram White Park Gym.
