COLUMBIA, Ky.—Southeastern University’s Jaaziel Santana was named the Mid-South Conference’s Wrestler of the Week for his upset victory on Saturday.
The Kissimmee native rallied to defeat ninth-ranked Cagen Wallace of Lindsey Wilson in a 6-4 decision to start Saturday’s dual against the sixth-ranked Blue Raiders. Santana scored three points in the second period, then picked up a takedown in the third to win it.
Santana is now 13-3 on the season.
Southeastern returns to action on January 4 at the NWCA National Duals in Louisville.
