LEWISTON, Idaho—Southeastern University senior pitcher Kasey Gast was named to the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete list for baseball for the second consecutive season. The list was released Wednesday before the semifinal round of the NAIA World Series.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must be a junior by eligibility standards with two semesters complete at their institution with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
The senior from Odenton, Md. was also The Sun Conference and NAIA World Series Champion of Character award winner.
The Fire posted a 53-12 record, advancing to the NAIA World Series for the second consecutive season.
