Goodrich, Pilots win series at Spring Arbor

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Bethel College baseball team earned their first series win in over a month, defeating Spring Arbor 5-1 in the rubber match on Tuesday afternoon, as Kory Goodrich threw a complete game, allowing just one earned run, to give the Pilots the victory.

The Pilots kept the traffic on the base paths all game long, coaxing 10 walks and stringing together 10 hits, while leaving 16 runners on base in the game.
Kory Goodrich went the distance for his first nine-inning complete game of the season, allowing just one run, while striking out seven and walking two.
Jake Wilburn scored three runs in the game—a single-game season-high for Wilburn.
The Pilots recorded their first series win since sweeping Goshen on March 18-19.


The Pilots return to Jenkins Stadium for their final five games of the regular season—a three-game series against Mount Vernon Nazarene on Friday and Saturday, and a Senior Day double header on Monday against Aquinas.
