Goshen High School and Edward Jones are proud to announce the student-athlete of the month award to recognize athletic and academic excellence. A senior male and female student-athlete will be selected from August-May each school year. At the end of the year, a $500 scholarship will be awarded to one male and one female student athlete of the month, as selected by the GHS coaching staff.
Ellie Zehr is the daughter of Lynne and Dave Zehr. Ellie is a four-year letter winner on the GHS Girls Swimming and Diving team. She has received the coach’s award for swimming and is a team captain as well. Ellie has been honored for her classroom work as well. She is a member of the National Honor Society and a recipient of the Academic Honors Award. Ellie plans to attend IU Bloomington to study occupational therapy.
Joseph Good is the son of Vernon and Jane Good. Joseph is a varsity letter winner in both Boys Basketball and Boys Baseball. He is currently a team captain on this year’s Boys Basketball team. He has received 3 Baseball Scholar Athlete awards, the Boys Basketball Mental Attitude Award, and attended the Honors Banquet. Joseph also stay busy volunteering for NHS and going on mission’s trips with his church. He is an active member and mentor in GHS’s PACT and Stay In Bounds programs. Joseph plans on attending Grace College to study business.
