Davenport, Iowa. The Holy Cross College men’s basketball team began Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference play this afternoon when they traveled to St. Ambrose University.
The Fighting Bees jumped out to an early 7-0 lead, but Holy Cross would even the game 10-10 with just under 14 minutes to go in the first. Ambrose would build another lead, but again the Saints would battle back with the game knotted 27-27 at halftime.
St. Ambrose would shoot 64% from the field in the second half, as the would defeat the Saints 76-63. With the loss, Holy Cross stands at 3-2 and 0-1, while St. Ambrose moves to 4-2 and 1-0.
