Holy Cross men get defensive in win over Governors State University

Notre Dame, IND. The Holy Cross College hosted Governors State University this evening at McKenna Arena. The Saints used a strong defensive effort in the first half to cruise to a 73-54 win. With the win, Holy Cross improves to 12-9 overall and 6-5 in CCAC while Governors State falls to 10-11 and 8-3.

Key Notes of the Game:

– The Saints took a commanding 41 – 15 lead after the first 20 minutes of action

– Holy Cross limited the Jaguars to shooting just 37% from the field and 29% from three

– Men’s basketball shot 49% from the field and 40% from three and outrebounded the Jaguars 38-25

By the Numbers:

– Larenzo Moore posted a double-double with 12 points and a team-high 10 rebounds

– Bryce Crosen led all scorers with 23 points on 9/16 from the field

– Storm Cook finished with 18 points.

 

Next Up:

Men’s basketball will host Cardinal Stritch University on Saturday, January 19. Tipoff set for 3:00pm in McKenna Arena.
