Notre Dame, Ind. The Holy Cross College men’s soccer team hosted the University of St. Francis this evening in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup. St. Franics was able to score first from a penalty kick goal coming in the 21st minute.
Again, USF would score in the 43rd minute as the Saints would trail 2-0 heading into halftime. The Fighting Saints would extend their lead to 3-0 with another goal coming in the 47th minute.
Holy Cross would mount a comeback with a Isaac Filippo goal in the 52nd minute. Kamoy Creary would cut the lead 3-2 with a goal of his own in the 75th minute, but the late comeback was not enough as the Saints would fall 3-2.
With the loss, Holy Cross stands at 3-5-1 and 1-1 in league play, while USF moves to 5-2 and 2-0.
