Notre Dame, Ind. The Holy Cross College women’s soccer team hosted Trinity Christian College this morning in a pivotal Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup. Holy Cross gained an early lead in the 16-minute goal by Lauren Cernak. Trinity Christian tied the game up 1-1 in the 30th minute and that goal would stand for the rest of the half as the match entered halftime 1-1. The Saints first corner of the game resulted in an Audrey Filippo goal off the Olivia Shaw Assist. TCC responded quickly with a goal of their own two minutes later. The Trolls were able to add one more goal and hand the Saints the 3-2 defeat. With the loss, Holy Cross stands at 8-4-1 and 5-3 in conference play, while Trinity Christian improves to 11-2 and 7-2 in conference play.
