Notre Dame, Ind.  The Holy Cross College women’s basketball returned to Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference play this afternoon when they hosted the Fighting Bees of St. Ambrose University. After a slow start by the Saints, the trailed 17-11 after the first quarter of action. Holy Cross entered halftime down 31-26. The Saints would outscore the Bees 23-14 in the third quarter to enter the fourth up 49-45. Holy Cross extended their lead in the fourth and came away with the 77-67 victory. With the win, the Saints stand at 7-8 overall and 3-3 in league play, while the Bees fall to 8-5 and 3-3.
